The Prime Minister has inched closer towards an emissions target of net zero by 2050, declaring Australia's energy mix has to change.
Today, Federal Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese outlined his green energy plan declaring renewable projects will lead to a job revolution in the years to come.
It comes as US President Joe Biden looks to reveal his plan to cut emissions by 2030 ahead of a virtual greenhouse gas summit of 40 national leaders, including Australia, later this week.
Independent MP Zali Steggall told ABC NewsRadio's Cathy Niven, the key message from the Morrison Government needs to be for Australians, from inner-city to regional, to come together to tackle climate change.
