The Parliamentary Leadership Taskforce met on 21 July and 1 August 2023.

The Taskforce meetings have continued to focus on the legislation to establish the statutory Parliamentary Workplace Support Service and amend the MoP(S) Act. The bills will be introduced into the parliament in the week commencing 7 August 2023.
The Taskforce also discussed implementation priorities over the next six months, including the Independent Parliamentary Standards Commission, options to establish the Parliamentary Health and Wellbeing Service and the promotion of existing services to support the health and wellbeing of people working in Parliament House.
The Taskforce noted that the Chair has published a newsletter update on recent developments, which includes detail on the alcohol policy principles as previously agreed by the Taskforce.
The next meeting will be held in late August 2023.
